Ty will be giving two talks at ASHRAE’s Madison Chapter on December 13, 2021. Each talk provides an hour of professional development credit. Ample coffee will be provided.
The first talk before dinner is a “tech talk” on moisture management. Not-so-coincidently, Madison Wisconsin is home to three of North America’s leading moisture management industries, as well as a few other industries close by.
Ty’s after dinner talk is on the urgent need to improve ASHRAE ventilation standards that form the basis for building ventilation design. Human health and productivity need to be the center of ventilation design. The latest research results on the spread of Covid from our research collaboration with University of Illinois Environmental Engineering Colleagues will be included in the presentation.
And, perhaps a bit of discussion on Henry Willsie, Reuben Trane, Storm Bull (the engineer), Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, Aldo Leopold, Farrington Daniels, and the UW Solar Quadrumvirate.
