Join us Wednesday, Oct 16th, at the Passive House Alliance Chicago meeting, where Alex Long from Build Equinox will give a 30-minute presentation on the importance of smart ventilation and recirculation in today’s high-performance homes! The presentation will compare air quality and energy efficiency of a smart ventilation system (CERV2) to a high performance HRV (90%) system that follows ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation standards in a modern IRC (International Residential Code) home (ACH50=3) and a high-performance home (ACH50=0.6).
The event is free to attend!

How are mechanical systems in a Passive Building different? What are the main considerations in properly designing for an air-tight, low-load building? How can these systems be optimized? These are just a few of the questions that Mike Schaefer, Alex Long, and Kevin McHugh will answer in their presentation and discussion.
