All of the SIPs are in now and waiting to be assembled. Next week will be the beginning of the assembly of a very large 3-D puzzle. Hopefully there aren’t any pieces missing from this puzzle.
On the house, the garage floor was poured today and the driveway is being prepared and will perhaps be poured early next week.

More progress on the solar system. Wiring began and the inverters were mounted. The inverters take the DC voltage form the solar panels and convert it to AC that connects to the house breaker box. Wiring was performed by Tom DeBates of Habi-Tek. Tom is a certified pv installer from Chicago and helped with the wiring of our lab solar system. He really knows his stuff and we have learned a lot from working with him.

These are the shipping packaging braces that came with the solar panels from Evergreen Solar. There were 40 panels x 4 per panel = 160 of them. They are polypropylene plastic and can be recycled or reused. We will ship these back to Evergreen and they will reuse them to ship new panels to someone else. This ingenious packaging eliminated any cardboard packaging and works better than other panel packing I’ve seen.
