After a few holidays, vacations, and severe weather, the windows have finally been installed. The two by wood to cap the panels was installed after the Tyvek and roof paper which you can see in the end of the roof panels below. Boards were also added to the door and window rough openings.

Yes, the windows have finally been installed! Another milestone. It only took a couple of hours, but we’ll have to go back and foam seal everything as it’s too cold right now.

The garage and house doors should be in anytime and are ready for installation. Once those are installed, the first phase of the house envelope will be complete. We will be running a blower door test on the house which we will go into more detail later. It is basically a test to see how well sealed the house is. From there we will do additional insulating and sealing.
