We are at a point right now where the construction activity on the house has slowed way down. As a result, I will be posting short chapters or commentaries by Ty about different design elements of this house and of energy efficient building in general.

Here is the first article; Equinox House – preface
To give you an idea of where we are on the house construction. All exterior and interior framing is complete. The electrical breaker panel is being installed to provide power for interior work. We will also perform the blower door test for air infiltration before the first round of sealing. If you have been to the site or know the area, the lot is close to an interstate. We have been doing research and taking data on noise pollution in the house so we can implement some elements to mitigate interstate noise penetrating the house. I hope to take some better interior house pictures to show the layout a little clearer.
