‹ Return to CERV2 Overview

Outdoor Pollutant Shield

Build Equinox regularly receives calls and emails from concerned homeowners, builders and designers around North America, as smoke blankets their communities, asking how to manage indoor air quality during these more frequently occurring exceptional events. Bad advice, such as turning off ventilation units, spreads at internet speed. Air quality management requires more than shoot-from-the-hip guessing.

Outdoor Particulate Defense

CERV2 Particulate Defense is designed to actively monitor and respond to airborne particulate levels in both indoor and outdoor environments. By utilizing high-precision sensors, the system continuously measures particulate concentrations in the airstreams, allowing it to intelligently adapt its ventilation and filtration operation to maintain optimal indoor air quality. This proactive approach ensures that contaminants such as cooking pollutants, smoke, dust, pollen, and other airborne pollutants are managed effectively, providing a healthier indoor environment.

CERV2 Particulate Defense
  • Measures particulate mass and particulate count
  • Protection from both indoor and outdoor particulates
  • Triggers ventilation when indoor particulates are elevated
  • Particulate Defense Mode when outdoor particulates are unhealthy, adds extra air purification
  • Great for locations with wildfire smoke, dust storms, and other outdoor pollutants.
  • Bundle with the Outdoor VOC Sensor to additionally protect against outdoor chemicals

Outdoor VOC Defense

The CERV2 offers an optional outside VOC sensor that enhances indoor air quality by monitoring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in incoming fresh air. This sensor empowers the CERV2 to automatically suspend ventilation when outdoor VOC levels surpass indoor levels. This proves particularly beneficial in environments susceptible to wildfires or other outdoor pollutants, ensuring that the CERV2 isn’t drawing in contaminated air. The outside VOC sensor can be conveniently installed at the factory or added to existing CERV2 units.
