CERV2 Particulate Defense is designed to actively monitor and respond to airborne particulate levels in both indoor and outdoor environments. By utilizing high-precision sensors, the system continuously measures particulate concentrations in the airstreams, allowing it to intelligently adapt its ventilation and filtration operation to maintain optimal indoor air quality. This proactive approach ensures that contaminants such as cooking pollutants, smoke, dust, pollen, and other airborne pollutants are managed effectively, providing a healthier indoor environment.
Inside Particulate Defense:
When indoor particulate levels exceed 10 µg/m³ in mass (PM10) or 40,000 particles per liter in count (PC0.3) – thresholds identified as poor indoor air quality (IAQ) by Build Equinox’s standards – the CERV2 activates ventilation mode. This mode expels the contaminated indoor air and replaces it with cleaner, filtered outdoor air, ensuring that pollutants are promptly removed to improve indoor air quality.
Outdoor Particulate Defense:
When outdoor particulate levels exceed 10 µg/m³ in mass (PM10) or 40,000 particles per liter in count (PC0.3), the CERV2 activates Particulate Defense Mode. In this mode, the CERV2 can restrict normal ventilation (depending on user-defined settings) in favor recirculating and purifying/filtering the indoor air in the home.
Monitor Your Particulate Data
In addition to the automatic Particulate Defense Mode functionality, you can also view historical particulate data through the free, CERV-ICE app. By viewing historical data for particulate mass-and-count for both indoor and outdoor air, you can have the peace of mind that you and your family are being actively protected from harmful particulates in the air.
